Is it better to study abroad at a satellite campus of your university or at a local university?

The credits are definitely easier to transfer if you do your study abroad program through a satellite campus of your university (which is definitely less stressful), but all of my friends did their abroad program at local universities/programs like CEA and had no problems. They definitely said it was stressful to make sure all of the credits transferred, but as long as you are proactive about talking to your academic advisor, your study abroad advisor, and your program director you should be fine. Also, going through a local university allows you to meet more people outside of your university, which is a huge part of the abroad experience!
